What length of time can I list my boat for? Boat Owners have the option on setting hires for Full-day, half-day rates only. Hourly Rates are normal.
Insurance To make sure every trip is safe and protected, you are required to understand and agree that you must be insured. Holding and maintaining a valid Third Party Property Damage or Comprehensive watercraft or sail vessel or jet craft insurance policy which provides protection against property damage to third parties at all times when using the Buoyly platform.
Licencing You as the boat owner or your delegate require an Australian Boat licence. You should also review Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) requirements. You may need to upgrade. Buoyly always encourages more training and education within the maritime environment. It is also advised that the vessel be registered in accordance with the state you are operating in and in accordance with AMSA requirements for your particular activity. As a Boat Owner how much do I get paid and how does this happen? Once the outing has been achieved with smiles all round, Payment will be deposited directly into your account, the account you specified during the onboarding process with Buoyly. Buoyly uses Stripe payment services. • Upto 5 days is the norm, however payment from the Stripe system could be less, the first payment is always the longest wait due to the account verification. • Refunds or payment adjustments may take 5-10 business days to reflect in the listed bank account.
How much should I list my boat for? We like to let you decide that. Buoyly was created to help boat owners offset the running costs of their vessels while giving more people the opportunity to enjoy time on the water. We encourage owners to set pricing that reflects the actual operating costs of their boat, rather than commercial style rates that can make boating inaccessible for many people.

Buoyly booking fee Although we would love to provide this service for free, the reality is, unfortunately, that this service does cost to host, update, etc. For that reason we charge a modest fee of 9%.
Example only – Say you gain a booking for $390, the numbers are
• $390 goes to the Buoyly payment system until the booking is completed or cancelled.
• $35.10 as a booking fee
• $354.90 to your account once the booking is complete.
